2012 Movie Wrap-Up

Thank you again for coming out to the 2012 West Seattle Outdoor Movies.  We had record crowds this year and we all feel the community enjoyed the summer movie series.  You may already know this, but part of our movie program includes raising money for charities through raffle ticket sales.   In addition to the raffle sales this year, we also had charities step in and run the concessions.

A big thank you to PB&J Textiles for donating their time to run the popcorn machine (and purchase it!).  Also, thank you to the folks at West Seattle Christian Church for donating their time running the projector, to our media sponsor the West Seattle Blog, and also to the staff of the WS Junction Association.

Here’s the $$ we raised for charity:

Westside Baby                                                                              $609.50
West Seattle Helpline                                                                    $466.95
Make it Better Project                                                                   $  73.00
Furry Faces Foundation                                                                 $200.00
Seattle Lutheran High School Key Club                                         $250.00

TOTAL                                                                                      $1,599.45

Again, without your support this wonderful summer event would not be possible.  We look forward to another fun movie series in 2013.

Counting Down the Days

This week begins Summerfest, July 13th,14th and 15th.  This is the official kickoff for all things fun in West Seattle including the movies!  We will be beginning the start of the movies by showing 50/50 (rated R) for a charity fundraiser.  Remember, it's on a special night - Friday, August 10th and is adults only.  $10.00 suggested donation.
