Getting Ready

Just a reminder the West Seattle Outdoor Movies start next month (Saturday, July 19th).  Our three tips for an enjoyable outdoor movie:

1.  Bring some food!  Heck, bring some for the folks sitting next to you.  Never know who you'll meet.

2.  Bring a low beach chair, don't hog the view with giant loungers.  If you are a lounger person, sit in the back to be double-sweet.

3.  Bring some cash for the raffle!  We have tons of local merchants donating gift cards and swag at every movie.  All proceeds go to charity.

We are sooo excited to bring you a new season of movies for 2104.  Now in our 10th (!) year, the West Seattle Outdoor Movies is a FREE event for the West Seattle and surrounding communities.   Brought to you by the West Seattle Junction Association and local supporting businesses.

Welcome to the West Seattle Outdoor Movies - 2013

As we write this blog on a rainy day in June (summer...hahhaaa), we are reminded in just a few short weeks the 2013 West Seattle Outdoor movies will begin.

We think our Seattle summer is getting all the rain squeezed out now so we can enjoy six Saturdays of FREE movie entertainment.

Join us beginning on Saturday, July 20th for the first movie of the season - Goldfinger, rated PG. 

2012 Movie Wrap-Up

Thank you again for coming out to the 2012 West Seattle Outdoor Movies.  We had record crowds this year and we all feel the community enjoyed the summer movie series.  You may already know this, but part of our movie program includes raising money for charities through raffle ticket sales.   In addition to the raffle sales this year, we also had charities step in and run the concessions.  

A big thank you to PB&J Textiles for donating their time to run the popcorn machine (and purchase it!).  Also, thank you to the folks at West Seattle Christian Church for donating their time running the projector, to our media sponsor the West Seattle Blog, and also to the staff of the WS Junction Association.
